The Clown Alley Art Show

The Clown Alley Art Show is a two-day clown-themed art show and celebration. Our goal is to spread joy and whimsy and share our love of all things clown with our community.
This is an open call for artists of all sorts. Do you like clowns and also like to make things? about the alley
When: Friday, March 28th, 2025, 5-8 pm and Saturday, March 29th, 2025 12-6 pm
exact times are tentative and subject to changeWhere: Park Trades Center, Saniwax Gallery, 326 W Kalamazoo Ave, Studio 209What: There will be an opening reception on Friday evening, and we’re planning for it to be a fun, light-hearted celebration with music, goodies, and plenty of clowning around. On Saturday, the gallery will be open during the day for people to come and peruse clowns as they please in a quieter (but still silly) atmosphere.

Clown Alley: The area just outside the ‘back door’ of the big top reserved for the heavier clown properties. After putting on their makeup in the regular dressing room, the clowns for the most part stayed in this area until they got their cues to enter the big top.

We are open to any and all types of artwork, as long as the focus is clowns! We would love to feature paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, fiber arts, zines, written word, and more. The more variety, the better.The one unifying theme is your piece must relate back to clowns, but how you interpret this is up to you. We want to see what sort of clowns resonate with you, and how you might express an appreciation for clowns in your own voice.This show is meant to be enjoyed by people of all ages and is not meant to intentionally frighten, so please no excessive gore or horror. We are happy to clarify further if needed!AI GENERATED PIECES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
